The La Orquidea Golf Society is based in a quiet part of Calahonda, but depending on the time of year, the Clubhouse puts on various entertainment acts: singers, comedians and more.
Within ten minutes walk of the Clubhouse, you’ll find a handful of great little bars and restaurants, including Dos Leones (another golfer’s bar – and particularly good restaurant) and Miel y Nata (a terrace restaurant with incredible views over the Mediterranean).
A short taxi ride (five or six Euros) will find you on the Calahonda Strip or in El Zoco. ’The Strip’ is where you’ll find a bunch of bars and restaurants, catering for all tastes, and El Zoco is a complex of many drinking and eating places, plus shops and supermarkets.
If you feel like venturing a little further, you could spend a real Spanish night in Fuengirola – about 30 minutes drive along the coast, or for those who want to splash out a bit, Marbella and Puerto Banus are great places to enjoy the night life.
